Natus Vincere and HellRaisers are through to the Upper Final of the GameShow League Finals after beating Virtus.pro and myXMG, respectively.

The first day of the GameShow League Finals, taking place at Crocus Expo in Moscow, under the wings of the computer and videogame show IgroMir, has come to an end, with the two Ukrainian teams - the favourites to win the title - moving on to the Upper Bracket Final.

With Michał "⁠MICHU⁠" Müller as a stand-in for Jarosław "⁠pashaBiceps⁠" Jarząbkowski, who just recently became a father, Virtus.pro came into this event with hope, rather than expectation, and they stunned Na`Vi on the first map, which they won 19-16.

GuardiaN delivered a great performance 

However, Na`Vi were able to turn the tide and won the next two maps, de_season and de_inferno, with 16-14 and 16-7 scorelines, respectively, with Ioann "⁠Edward⁠" Sukhariev and Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács topping the scoreboard.

In the other semi-final, HellRaisers, playing with Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev on LAN for the first time, were caught off-guard by myXMG's strong display on de_overpass, where Mathias "⁠PnX⁠" Pedersen helped his side to secure a 16-8 win with his +19 K/D ratio.

s1mple then proved his fragging credentials and powered HR to win the following maps, de_mirage and de_inferno, with 16-7 and 16-11 scorelines, respectively.
